Today, we said our final goodbye to our Lola. This is more than a farewell. It's a memory for our younger cousins, nieces, and nephews who may be too young to remember her and whom may one day ask about her. I hope one day they'll know that Nanay loved us so quietly and so completely. She made sure we were fed, cared for, and never slept alone. That we all gathered in one home, shared every meal, and made memories that seemed ordinary then but have now become priceless.
The hardest part about losing someone isn't just saying goodbye. It's realizing that one day, the only way some people will know them is through the stories we choose to tell. So here's one of ours.
Rest peacefully, Nanay. You'll always be part of us. 🤍
