What the numbers show
• 55% of Protestant churchgoers reported zero times sharing how to become a Christian in the last six months. 
• In 2019, fewer than half had shared in the last six months. 
• Only 29% of unchurched Americans say a Christian has explained to them how to become a Christian. 
• 56% of U.S. Christians say their spiritual life is entirely private, which suppresses evangelism. 
• Church context. The median U.S. church reported four new professions of faith in the past 12 months.

Pastor appreciation is a vastly undervalued celebration. Unlike most of the people we honor the ones we have a strong understanding of what we appreciate about them , our mothers, fathers, teachers and veterans. Pastors we tend to generalize our appreciation for a good sermon and a thoughtful prayer. Yes those are things to appreciate but I must tell ya Pastor Mike, when you came to us we were a church in mourning. You cared for us and comforted us and we appreciate you for that. Pastor, you travel more miles for this church sacrificing time that could be spent with family, business, extended ministry, hobbies, and leisure and we appreciate you for your sacrifice. Pastor, you took the roles of shepherd, manager, cleaner, child care, referee, event planner, maintenance, and parking lot paver upon yourself doing much of the work with your own hands, and we appreciate you for that. Pastor Mike, you have spent countless hours redesigning the churches digital thumb print, bringing the church up to date and up to speed and we appreciate you for that. The point is Pastor, no one will ever truly know the extent of the things we are grateful to you for because a good Pastor is humble and selfless, but we see you loving the church as Jesus also loves the church. Jeremiah 3:15 God promises to give us shepherds after his own heart and He is always faithful and true. We believe God has been especially kind to us having brought you here and Pastor Mike we appreciate you.

Philippines Outreach Update

We are excited to share that a new Choices Ambassador has joined the work in the Philippines. Volunteering with us in Tungawan NHS student evangelism is Bishop Valvic Quijano.

Bishop Quijano is a former Moro Islamic Liberation Front (M**F) Commander who once lived as a rebel. Today, through the grace of God, he is ministering to the Muslim community.

He is uniquely gifted to reach them, speaking their language and pointing to how even the Quran references Jesus as Savior. His testimony and voice carry great weight among those who may never have listened otherwise.

Please continue to pray for Bishop Quijano, Eric and Ethel, and the growing team of Choices Ambassadors who are bringing the Gospel into schools, communities, and now even deeper into Muslim regions of the Philippines.
