Located 53 miles west of Denver and just before the Eisenhower tunnel, Loveland Ski Area is home for those who want to simply ski and ride. Averaging over 30 feet of snow annually, Loveland is one of the first to open, and last to close in the nation. With 1,800 acres of terrain cascading down 2,210' of vert, 10 lifts, and a free snow cat ride to the Continental Divide, you will spend more time hunting pow lines than waiting in lift lines. Between chairlift access, hike-to terrain, and multiple snow cat adventure options, there are many ways to get up, no matter how you like to get down. With events running into May, Loveland is a sure bet for your late-season stoke.

Dropping the Curtain on California's Ski Season

California’s ski season has been a wild ride! From early dumps in November to a bone-dry January and a late-season comeback in February and March, conditions were unpredictable across the Sierras. While no records were broken, many resorts managed to catch up to average snowfall by spring. With warmer temps and early snowmelt, spring skiing is wrapping up fast. A Wacky, Unpredictable Winter In Colorado Nears Finish Line

It's been a schizophrenic ski and snowboard season in Colorado, and conditions at the state's three dozen resorts have varied all season. A mid-winter warming trend shrunk a healthy November-December base and produced spring conditions way ahead of time.
