On March 22, 2025 I celebrated 50 years of teaching strings and piano in my private studio, 𝐹𝑎𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑦 𝑀𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑐 𝑆𝑡𝑢𝑑𝑖𝑜. My 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭 was an absolutely wonderful time of music and gathering. Many thanks to everyone who participated - performers, audience, and volunteers! You made the evening special! I was so happy to have all seven of my children together for the first time in about eight years and joining me in performance.

Here are two videos. The first is a video of the entire concert with time stamps in the description. It is 1 hr 8 min long. The second is a short video, just 2 min 41 sec, of concert photos accompanied by the FMS String Ensemble, Fiddlesticks, Running River Strings, and guests playing Ashokan Farewell.

This concert also marked the first time I have shared the stage with a grandchild! The photo below is my grandson Quincy.

Winter Recital! Everyone did such a great job. It is a true pleasure to teach such a fine group of students.

This is a video I made during the pandemic with all seven of my children. They are all adults (currently ages 45-26) and I was curious to hear what they would say about the role music plays in their adult lives. After all, they grew up in a highly musical home. I taught them all violin and piano to varying levels. They branched out into other instruments. But do they still play today? Is music important to them as adults? Watch this video to hear them share!

I am so proud of this group! I founded Fiddlesticks in 2009. Now Cati Ferguson is directing and doing such a great job. Take that, pandemic! You can’t stop Fiddlesticks!

Spring recital! This was a little smaller group due to all the year-end events going on. Our recital was short and sweet! Everyone was poised and prepared. This recital marked a first for me personally. For the first time, I had one of my grandchildren perform! Quincy (orange & green shirt) played both violin and piano on the program. I'm so proud of him and all the students!
