🚨 👀 If you read any post all the way through on the internet today let this be it! With summer days coming this is SO important we get it! A few thoughts below… ⬇️
Life will keep you busy.
Busy with work.
Busy with deadlines.
Busy with school events, laundry, calendars, sports, stress, bills, and people demanding urgency over things that honestly aren’t emergencies.
Life will keep you distracted from what REALLY matters if you let it.
The older I get, the more I understand the saying:
“Be where your feet are.”
Because so many times we are physically present… but mentally somewhere else.
Thinking about money.
Schedules.
The next problem.
The next responsibility.
The next thing we “have” to do.
Meanwhile life is happening right in front of us.
Our kids are growing up.
Our people are needing us.
Memories are waiting to be made.
As summer approaches, I just want to remind somebody:
STOP WAITING.
Put the bathing suit on.
Take the trip.
Go to the park.
Have the movie night.
Take the pictures.
Laugh louder.
Stay outside longer.
Say yes to the memories.
You can make more money.
You cannot make more time.
Years ago when I worked customer service at Lodge Manufacturing, I talked to the sweetest older lady on the phone. I’ll never forget her words:
“I just ran out of time.”
She talked about all the things she wanted to do and places she wanted to go, and that conversation has stayed with me for YEARS.
Because the truth is:
As long as we’re breathing, we STILL have time.
Time to fix relationships.
Time to chase dreams.
Time to start over.
Time to heal.
Time to LIVE.
But one day… we won’t.
That’s why I say this with urgency:
Stop letting life rule you.
Stop letting schedules steal your peace.
Stop letting fear, pressure, guilt, and “what ifs” keep you from living.
This summer, be intentional.
No, it doesn’t have to be expensive.
No, it doesn’t have to be perfect.
No, you won’t hit every single thing on the list.
But make the list anyway.
Because one day we’ll realize the little moments were actually the big moments all along.
Be where your feet are.
We have time… until we don’t.
Be unstoppable.
