In the face of tragedy, we turn to Christ and to our faith. We pray for the victims of the shooting, for their families and loved ones, and for all who are grieving. May God comfort the brokenhearted, heal the wounded, and strengthen us to be witnesses of His mercy and peace. ✝️🕊

✨ Reflection: “Whitewashed or Witness?”

Jesus’ words to the Pharisees are piercing: “You are like whitewashed tombs…”—a warning against spiritual superficiality. It’s a call to examine whether our outward expressions of faith reflect an inner life rooted in truth, humility, and love.

Saint Monica, whose memorial we celebrate, offers a radiant contrast. Her quiet perseverance, deep prayer, and unwavering hope led to the conversion of her son, Saint Augustine. She didn’t preach with grandeur—she witnessed with grace.

Challenge for the day:
Let your faith be more than polished appearances. Let it be a living witness, like Monica’s—marked by patience, prayer, and authenticity.
