It’s more than just looking up and saying, “Yep, you need a roof.”

Measurements, photos, walking the entire property and documenting what I see — front, back and all the way around.

Figured I’d take y’all along and show you what an inspection with me actually looks like.

One of Rosie’s favorite places… the Fire Station Park in Homosassa. ❤️

I like it too because it’s close to home, they’ve redone the park, and it’s just a great little spot to let the kids run around and have some fun.

Sometimes we forget about the simple places right here in our own community. If you’ve never checked this park out and you’re looking for somewhere to take the kids, give it a try!

Rosie definitely gives it her approval. 😂❤️

This week we stopped by The Roost in Homosassa for a food review, and I handed the editing over to Scarlett.

This is her first real video edit, and I think she did phenomenal! 🎥👏

Big shoutout to The Roost too. The food has always been delicious every time we’ve been there!

This is exactly why I started Just Being Real with Houston.

To meet good people doing good things right here in our own community.

While walking through Walmart, we met Kira with All American Rex Rabbits.—she was simply sharing her passion and educating people about Rex rabbits. You could tell immediately how much she genuinely cares about these animals and making sure they go to the right homes.

Scarlett absolutely loved holding one, Rosie, who wasn’t too sure at first, got a chance to meet one up close. 🐇❤️

If you’ve been thinking about adding a rabbit to your family, I encourage you to reach out to Kira. She’s local here in Crystal River, incredibly friendly, and a wealth of knowledge.

I love using this page to shine a light on people who are passionate about what they do. Our community is full of them—you just have to slow down long enough to meet them.

Just being real… if you haven’t made it out to The Villages to try Sunshine Slush, you really need to. 🍧

I finally got to meet Paulie, and after trying it myself, I completely understand why people keep talking about it. It’s smooth, refreshing, and honestly one of the best Italian ice treats I’ve had.

If you’re from the Boston or New Hampshire area, there’s a good chance you’ll recognize it—it’s made with Richie’s Italian Ice, so it brings a little taste of home to Florida.

I love highlighting local people who are passionate about what they do, and Paulie is definitely one of them. If you’re in or around The Villages, put this one on your list.
