One of the hardest (and most special) parts of working in TV news is watching incredibly talented friends chase their next chapter. Today was Liz Biro’s last day at WINK News, and we are going to miss her so much!

Super proud of her and so excited for what’s ahead - and even more grateful that WINK News gave me a lifelong friend. 💛

How do you say goodbye to a community that gave you your start? After four years serving Southwest Florida, this is my last week at WINK News. I’ve accepted a new position where I’ll have the privilege of serving a new community.

Southwest Florida and WINK will always hold a special place in my heart.

From day one, you welcomed me with open arms and gave me the opportunity to learn, grow, and find my voice as an anchor and reporter.

Covering hurricanes and standing alongside you during some of the toughest moments was an experience that shaped me in ways I’ll carry forever.

Thank you for trusting me with your stories. I leave feeling incredibly thankful and blessed. Stay tuned for where I’m going next 🤗

Heads up if you’re heading to Fort Myers Beach — the Matanzas Pass Bridge is closed now until noon for the Fort Myers Beach Lions Club Shrimp Festival 5K and parade.

🚗 No vehicles can get on or off the island during that time, so expect delays and plan accordingly.

At this time, there is no confirmed sighting of F23 in the area. F23 has not been in camera view since 8:12AM, on Friday, 2/27/2026. We are monitoring the situation and will provide updates if and when we have verified information.

We have alerted FWC and CROW - Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife, Inc.. If you see an injured or dead bald eagle in your area, please contact one of these services for immediate assistance.

In the meantime M15 is taking great care of E26. He is providing food and protection. Please give M15 space to deal with what he needs to do at this time. 🙏🏻🦅♥️
