The Luster necklace came into my collection the day before I left Kansas City to help move my parents from Arizona to Northern California.
It felt like a sign amid a time layered with emotions.
For me, Arizona was both home during a hard time, and later, a place with many happy memories of family vacations. A bittersweet layer.
When we arrived at my parents’ new home amid the redwood trees in Northern California, we walked pine-covered paths. I felt proud of them for making a brave move in their early 70’s. I think this is their place. A layer of hope and promise.
