🎪 Big Slick with the Best ❤️

I went into for the first time this year without any expectations. A celebrity variety show put on by Kansas Citians , , , and , what’s not to love!?

😂 All I can say is that was a weird, wild and wonderful evening for an amazing cause.

By auctioning items + experiences Big Slick was able to raise $4.2 million for cancer care and research at . 👏🎉

My Big Slick: I was so thankful to have our friends Pat and Cassie alongside us to celebrate childhood cancer warriors, including their own son. 🙌 Definitely an emotional evening!

I can honestly say I’ve never been to a Kansas City fundraising event where the outpouring of support is so heartfelt and overwhelmingly generous. 🥹

Thank you to the wonderful organizers and their families for their heart for KC kids battling cancer . It means more than you’ll know to these families!

If you haven’t attended a concert yet, get your tickets now, because this is a special one!

The June 6 event is the last concert of the 2025-2026 season and features Eddison Chen, a sophomore at Blue Valley Northwest High School.

DETAILS:

Enjoy music, mix and mingle in a Ward Parkway home on June 6 from 3:30-6 PM. A wine + light bites reception will follow the concert, with a special wine tasting provided by

ABOUT THE PERFORMER:

Eddison has been featured on NPR’s “From the Top” and Classical KC 91.9. He was a 2024 recipient of the Chopin Foundation Scholarship and was selected as a participant in the 2025 Gina Bachauer International Piano Festival. He is also a 3-year scholarship recipient of the Heartland Friends of Chamber Music Young Artist Project.

This season finale concert will feature a Series-commissioned premiere by local jazz pianist and composer, Jackie Myers.
