Happy Saturday! Expect a mild, dry day with scattered showers possible later in the afternoon. Sun. brings a break with pleasant conditions, but rain chances rise by evening. A low moves through Sun. night into Mon., bringing rainy, dreary conditions for the new week.

Friday will be mainly sunny and windy. We will see wind gusts up to 30mph. Highs will struggle to reach 60 due to those winds. So highs will be in the upper 50s and some places may reach 60.

One word you could use to describe this 7 day outlook... WET. We'll be dodging showers with a few nice days in between but overall a gloomy and rainy forecast. Hopefully this doesn't continue into the week after or it won't be a good thing for the eclipse on April 8th.

Another rainy Sat. ahead, with morning rain persisting! Widespread 1-3” is expected across most of the DMV, with locally higher totals along & east of I-95. Rain will begin to ease by mid-afternoon, followed by cloudy, windy conditions for our PM.

Flood Watch IS in effect until 2pm, as excessive rainfall may lead to flooding in low-lying areas or areas with poor drainage. If you must travel today and encounter flooded roadways, remember: turn around, DON’T drown! Stay safe and vigilant today!
