This post is to performers of music in public

This video shows you how enter your set lists of your gigs, so that you ( if you are the songwriter too), can insure royalties are available to you or the original songwriter of the songs you just performed.
You need to be a member of ASCAP or BMI.
Ascsp Is free to join, Bmi charges 75.00
Ascap is oldest, Bmi the largest.
They give you 2 calendar quarters, to enter them.

But you the performer must enter them yourselves.

As a Music Publisher myself. I am always trying to insure my artists can potentially earn royalties for singing their songs publicly. However if you sing a cover song, that songwriter deserves to earn his royalty too. So you by not entering their song in your set lists is essentially stealing from that songwriter.

If they sing your song, you would want paid too I assume. So learn the system and properly do what the laws allow for the protection of intellectual property.

I have met performers that have been on big TVshows that have never entered their setlists.

As a publisher I am not allowed to enter the set lists for you, but my role is to help you track down wide range of royalties, and I am paid a percentage
Of the publishers share that I assist in getting paid.

Plus helping in other ways like getting your tunes in TV shows and movies.

So enter your set lists, and either function as your own publisher or reach out so I can help you.

But enter your set lists so everyone stands a chance of being paid a royalty.

It took from 2017 as we outgrew Woodsetter . com as a way to tell the music for good side of our story to end of 2024 to grow to 600 followers on Interludes with Impact Events , but based on Facebook drama they could not Prove i was the owner of the page. To run ads correctly this was important, so first of 2025 we migrated the page to Interludes with Impact Publishing .
Now we are up to 187 followers. Need more of those other 600 at the events page to come here and follow us here.
