A new Drought Monitor has been released this morning, with Brunswick County experiencing more extreme drought conditions compared to last week. One positive development is that some areas of Pender and New Hanover counties are now classified as being in only moderate drought following the rainfall received over the past week. Unfortunately, not much rain is expected over the next seven days.
