Grand opening of a new retail store in Lemon Grove!

They will be running a raffle until 7pm - if you buy something you’re automatically entered - even if you only buy something that costs a dollar!

They have all sorts of goodies - I straight up bought myself a pair of cute shorts as soon as I walked in. Lemon Grove needs cute boutiques like this so please everyone come out and shop!

Beautiful event hosted by the Soroptimist Club of Lemon Grove, recognizing their “Live Your Dream” Award Winners, and high school service award recipients, as well as several distinguished women of Lemon Grove!

I said this once and I’ll say it again, it was so nice to witness the Soroptimists get to show off the fruits of their labor! So many of these women dedicate time to fundraise and give back to help uplift women and improve their lives through education, empowerment, and economic independence.

One of their past recipients stunned with their history of challenges they’ve overcome, and they pointed to the work of the Lemon Grove Soroptimists as being that first brick to getting them to the place they are now.

The significance of what you all do is not lost on many of us, and it was so nice to see you all shine and to hear the story of women whose lives you’ve influenced.

Thank you for the recognition. It was an honor to be among you all!

Pickleball stars in the making! It’s been a little while since I talked about our free pickleball classes but if you’re from Lemon Grove and want to learn how to play for free, we’ll teach you! Our group is for adults and teens (with supervision) but if you have kids there’s a lot of other folks who bring them out to this event, so they can play with each other on the side nets.

P*e Wee sports hosted by at the Lemon Grove Recreation Center! Mark has singlehandedly been keeping our recreation center alive for the past…20 years? Something crazy like that.

It is one of the staples for the youth of our neighborhood, so please spread the word to any of your friends with kids for an opportunity to try all sorts of different sports!

Thank you to everyone who has been on this journey! It’s our goal to create an engine for positive change in Lemon Grove! It starts with the culture and we’re creating something valuable here.
