Better Life Technology was founded in 1998 by Don & Brett Sneed in Lenexa, KS, when Brett identifie

d a need for an easy to install and maintain, durable garage floor protector. He worked with Don to develop G-Floor, which is made of thick, solid vinyl and rolls out for easy installation. They positioned G-Floor against traditional epoxy floors, which can take up to 16 days to fully install and are prone to cracking, staining and peeling if not installed properly. Because it is compatible with alkais and acids in concrete, G-Floor protects garage floors without breaking down the subfloor. Since 2004, Better Life Technology has added new color options, textures and dimensions, and has been featured in many home improvement magazines and television shows. G-Floor can also be purchased in more than 1,200 retail stores nationwide, as well as through a variety of online distributors.

Here's how to get a clean, beautiful, long-lasting install:

🕒 1. Plan for Ample Time
Rushing leads to mistakes. Let the subfloor dry completely — air dry if needed — and block enough time for install.

🌡️ 2. Check the Weather
Install when temps are stable, ideally between 65°F and 85°F. Extreme temps can affect adhesion.

🧴 3. Choose the Right Adhesive
Use a marine-grade adhesive approved for vinyl + your subfloor type. You’ll need a paint roller, utility knife, and a 100lb roller for strong bonding.

📦 4. Allow Material to Relax
Roll out your G-Floor® and let it sit for 24 hours to flatten and dry-fit. Smooth any wrinkles outward before trimming.

🧹 5. Apply Adhesive with Care
Avoid direct sunlight. Use a roller to apply adhesive as directed — even, not messy.

📏 6. Use the Hinge Method
Fold the vinyl back halfway - lengthwise, apply adhesive, and press outward from the center (remove any air bubbles as you go). Use a 100lb roller after placement to lock it in.

✂️ 7. Trim for Precision
Use several shallow passes with a utility knife for clean, accurate edges — don’t try to rush it in one cut.
