This Digital Cinema MFA page will still promote creative educational objectives for filmmakers in the digital age. The DIGITAL CINEMA PRODUCTION MASTER OF FINE ARTS program at National University was active from September 2004 through March 2020 under the schools of MEDIA and COMMUNICATION and PROFESSIONAL STUDIES. The mission of the program was to provide a professional film arts educati

on in creative content development and production. The curriculum combined professional filmmaking techniques from the Hollywood and Independent film traditions. The courses leveraged leading-edge digital technology to produce engaging visual media content. The program blended cinematic concepts and techniques with hands-on project based learning experiences in the professional film production disciplines in an online and low-residency format. The program also allowed students living outside the major media markets the chance to study film production with film industry professionals and to produce several short digital film projects and a short subject thesis film.
