The Leominster Police Department is implementing a program to instruct young people and adults about the dangers of driving while impaired. Using funds provided by the mayor's office, the department purchased a selection of Fatal Vision goggles that simulate the effects of being impaired, be it by alcohol, ma*****na, or drowsiness, as well as a two-seated Fatal Vision Roadster that will be used to safely simulate driving while impaired.

This past week, the Leominster Towing Association donated to complete this program. The department aims to run the Junior and Senior classes through this program before the prom. We want to thank Officer Michael Kochanski for getting the job done and a big thank you to the Leominster Towing Association for coming through for us.

It is that time of year again, we ask that everyone be aware of paving scams. We've gotten reports of a company going door to door offering paving services. Any solicitor is required to get a permit with the police department. If you have any concerns or questions about companies going door to door, please contact the Leominster Police Department's business line at (978)534-7560 x 0.

From the Lions: The Leominster Lions Club is a 501C4 nonprofit organization that has served the community since April 2004. We provide free vision screening and hearing tests to students at St Anna's and St Leo's Schools whose nurses cannot provide this service. We also provide free food baskets to the needy at Thanksgiving and have offered vision and hearing support throughout the community with the Sight & Hearing Fund. We also donated to the Leominster Flood Relief Fund.

We are planning our 2nd annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser to be held July 24th at the Westminster Golf & Country Club.

William has dark brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers, carrying a light green backpack - HE was last seen in the area of Terrace Drive, this city.
