We’ll have our first full moon of the year. It’s the Wolf Moon and it gets its name, because of the howling of hungry wolves and the scarcity of food in midwinter. Other names for this month's full moon include old moon and ice moon. It will rise around dusk (4:47) and settle around dawn (8:09) so you’ll get a full show.

If you are an avid coffee lover, your in luck because we still have a few seats left for this Wednesday, January 15th! Our second workshop in our Drinks of History Series, Night at the Colonial Coffeehouse will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Did colonists do open mic nights at their coffee shops? Was it where all the 18th-century hipsters spent their days reading and writing? If these questions piqued your interest, then join us for a cup of joe (prepared in the colonial style) as we talk about colonial coffee houses and maybe try a couple of coffee house games. (Don't worry, there will be no open mics!) Fee $10.

If you are looking for a way to capture the Christmas spirit. Then we have the answer for you!! Our Christmas Angel Tree.

The true magic of the season shines brightest through the power of giving—each Angel Tree gift you give is a spark of hope and love that captures the spirit of Christmas, reminding us that it truly is better to give than to receive.

We’re thrilled to partner with the Solomons Mission Center for the second year to bring a little extra magic to local children in need this holiday season!

Visit Jacqueline Morgan Day Spa and The Blue Shell Gifts and Decor, you'll see our Angel Tree loaded with the names of children in need of a brighter Christmas. Here’s how you can make a difference:

Pick a name from our tree.
Receive the child’s gift wish details.
Have fun shopping!
Return your wrapped gift by December 18 to our store.
As a heartfelt thank-you, everyone who participates will receive a handmade miniature oyster shell angel—a little reminder of the joy you’ve helped create.

The Solomons Mission Center is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting families in need, offering food, clothing, and more to our neighbors.
