“Little Church on the Hill” by Brian Mullins

Some of the biggest things God does, begin in the smallest places.

I grew up in Meadow Bridge, West Virginia, and there was a little church there that became part of the foundation of my life. It wasn’t a huge church. It didn’t have thousands of people filling the pews. It was simply a small church filled with people who believed in God, loved one another, prayed together, and kept the light shining.

That little church helped build the foundation of a faith that has stayed with me throughout my life.

And you know what?

That little church is still standing today.

That’s what inspired my song “Little Church on the Hill.”

But this song isn't only about the church I grew up in. I wrote it for every little church around the world that has ever wondered whether it was too small to make a difference.

If you're preaching to 20 people instead of 2,000 — keep preaching.
If your choir only has a handful of voices — keep singing.
If there are empty places in the pews — keep praying.
If you're wondering whether anybody notices what you're doing — keep shining your light.

Because somewhere in one of those pews may be a little boy or girl whose faith is being built for a lifetime.

I know. I was one of them.

“Little Church on the Hill” is my thank-you to the church that helped give me that foundation, and my dedication to all the small churches that continue being a beacon for the Lord every single week.

When this song is released, I hope you'll stream it, share it, and dedicate it to your little church.

And I want to hear your story:

What was the name of the church you grew up in, and where was it?

Drop the church name and town in the comments.
Let’s fill these comments with little churches from all over the country—and maybe all over the world.

“Little Church on the Hill” — Brian Mullins

Coming Sept 8th to all streaming platforms.

Never believe you're too small to make a difference. Just keep shining His light.

Its Release Day!

Today I'm honored to share my brand-new single, "I've Been There Before," with all of you.

This song was inspired by a real conversation I had with one of my sons while we were sitting together on the front porch. We talked about heartbreak, financial struggles, life's disappointments, and the uncertainty we all face from time to time. As parents, we want our children to know that no matter what they're going through, they're not alone. We've walked difficult roads too—and with faith, perseverance, and hope, brighter days are ahead.

I believe this message isn't just for parents and children. It's for anyone who has ever felt overwhelmed by life and needed someone to say, "I've been there before."

If this song encourages you, I'd be grateful if you would stream it, share it or let me know what this song reminds you of?
