In case you did not know, I was in the hospital for eight days. I was admitted on Wednesday, August 20 and discharged on Wednesday, August 27. I was in for a UTI that went into sepsis. It turned into a major kidney infection. Because of such a severe infection, I have lost a lot of of my muscle and balance in my legs. My knees have grown weaker to the point that I even fell once in the hospital. I did five days of IV antibiotics and three days of oral. While the infection is gone, the weakness lingers. I hate this. I hate it so much.
Also, as a result, I now have what is called PSS (Post-Sepsis Syndrome). I am extremely fatigued all the time. I can sleep between nine and 12 hours at night and still fall asleep during the day multiple times. Also, I have a heavy brain fog. I find it difficult to form the words that I want to use. I find that I am zoning out more often. I feel like my thoughts are out of control, my head is constantly spinning, and I’m very lightheaded. And my arms and legs are constantly hurting. As well as a pretty consistent headache.
All the progress that I made during physical therapy seems to have been lost. But I will still go to physical therapy every Friday. As well as an additional appointment earlier in the week. I have to get back on the right track. This is very depressing for me.
I sure could use all the healing energy and vibes that I could get.
