In the last seven days, my life has collapsed, spiraling into a black hole, swallowing everything I had built. Like the mold creeping along the walls of this hospital room, my ruin spread insidiously, consuming everything in its path. A week ago, I stood poised to deliver the speech of a lifetime at the 200th Schrödinger’s Cat Convention—an announcement that would redefine quantum mechanics, a discovery meant to alter the course of science.

Instead, my theories ignited a financial bomb, an explosion so powerful it sent global markets plummeting in an instant. Trillions evaporated in hours, wealth and stability crumbling before my eyes. Then came the riot, a furious crowd surging forward, and in the chaos that followed, four people died, and eight more were left hospitalized. What should have been my greatest triumph became a nightmare, a catastrophe spiraling far beyond my reach, far beyond my control.
