The September/October issue of Decoy Magazine is now in the mail. Our cover story is on Grayson Chesser, a decoy maker from Virginia's Eastern Shore who's lived his life the old-fashioned way. There's a well-illustrated article on bluebill decoys of the Susquehanna Flats, a delightful and important part of any Upper Chesapeake Bay decoy collection. There's an article on novelty decoys by the Mason decoy factory, and a feature on forgeries and repairs. And there's all the latest decoy show and auction reports. In about ten days, we'll begin our late summer into fall decoy show circuit. We'll start on Saturday, September 6 at the Charlie Joiner show at the Fire Hall in Galena, Maryland. Then, we'll head to East New Market, Maryland on Saturday, September 13 for the Delmarva Decoy Collectors Show at the East New Market Fire Hall. We'll finish the month on Saturday and Sunday, September 27-28 for the Ocean County Decoy Show at Tip Seaman Park in Tuckerton, New Jersey. We hope to see you at one or more of those events.

The July/August issue of Decoy Magazine is now in the mail. Our cover story is on Dave "Umbrella" Watson, a reclusive yet talented decoy maker from Willis Wharf, Virginia. For fans of factory decoys, there's an article that details the differentiations between Poitevin and Reynolds decoys. There are profiles on Alvin M.
