🏊‍♂️🐯 Avon Grove High School junior Kyle Burk is headed to the SEC.

Burk has verbally committed to continue both his academic and swimming career at Louisiana State University beginning in Fall 2027 after emerging as one of the nation’s top distance freestyle and backstroke swimmers. 🇺🇸📚

Training with the Kennett & Jennersville Area YMCA, Burk recently captured national titles in the 1,000-yard and 1,650-yard freestyle at YMCA Short Course Nationals, while also earning silver medals at YMCA Long Course Nationals and a top-20 finish at Junior Nationals. 🥇💪

At the Pennsylvania Class 3A Championships this year, the Avon Grove standout finished second in the 500-yard freestyle and ninth in the 200 freestyle.

Burk is also a two-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American, balancing elite athletic performance with academic achievement.

“I am excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Louisiana State University,” Burk said in a statement released by the district.

School officials praised Burk’s years of dedication, leadership, and discipline as he prepares to represent Avon Grove on one of college swimming’s biggest stages. 🌟
