KRLC Opinion Please

KRLC Opinion Please Listen to Idaho's longest running live radio talk on Wednesdays at 10 a.m.-11 a.m. on 1350-AM!

08/30/2023

KRLC Hometown Radio will be going off the air the evening of August 31. The main reason is that relocating an AM radio station and its equipment, which includes the 150-foot tower, is a very long and expensive process. For the past 2 years, Mc Vey Entertainment Group has been leasing the property on Stewart Avenue for its KRLC, Canyon Country (106.9-FM) and KVTY (105.1) broadcasts, but now must move those stations to our Snake River Avenue location. The other 2 FM stations have relocated, but moving the AM station is just a longer process with a hefty price tag. Even though KRLC has an FM signal (93.1), FCC rules don’t allow separating the two broadcasts, and the AM signal is tethered to the physical location of the tower. We are so sorry to disappoint our loyal audience, and we understand how much you will miss KRLC. we are going to do all we can to bring it back. Thank you for your patience and understanding. In the future, Opinion Please will move to KOZE 95.5 FM and 950 AM. We will update when transition takes place.
