This summer's festival will be unforgettable!

The climax of Saturday night, JULY 19th, will feature the world-renowned The Original Wailers, hailing all the way from Jamaica. The Grammy-nominated band was formed by Al Anderson in 2006, inspired by the music of Bob Marley. It all started In December 1973, in London by recommendation of Paul Kossoff that Al Anderson was sent to sit in for him to record “Natty Dread” album, Bob Marley’s first solo album. From then, Al Anderson was the lead guitarist for Bob Marley and Wailers until 1981. Al Anderson is responsible for the most memorable guitar solos in the history of reggae, like “No Woman, No Cry,” and “Three O’clock Road Block.” Andersons’ musical achievements with Bob Marley & The Wailers include the platinum award winning albums, Live at the Lyceum, Babylon by Bus and ten times platinum album Legend. Al Anderson has also been a band member and session musician for such artists as Peter Tosh, Lauryn Hill, Carlos Santana, Ben Harper, and UB40.

Other members of The Original Wailers band include vocalist and rhythm guitarist Chet Samuel, keyboard and organist Stephen Stewart, bass guitarist Omar Lopéz and Ghanaian drummer Papa Nyarkoh. The Original Wailers debut EP Miracle was nominated for Best Reggae Album at the 55th Annual Grammy Award in 2012. The group is working on a new album “Mirror of Heaven,” that attempts to “manifest” the best of what humanity can give to each other: “love and understanding.” Two singles have been released, “Song of the Divine” in English and “Si Tu Me Lo Das” in Español. The band remains true to Bob Marley’s original sound and message. The Original Wailers play their own original songs as well as from the legendary catalog of Bob Marley and The Wailers Band.

The Original Wailers have toured USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Chili, Peru, Colombia, the Emirates, Bahrain, UK, Spain, Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Indonesia, South African, Madagascar, Reunion Islands, Morocco, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico and other countries. In 2019 The Original Wailers performed in front of 100, 000 people in Morocco.
