LCV SKATER SPOTLIGHT 🔥

Each week I’ll be looking for a Skater of the Week to showcase in our Skater Spotlight. This week is Parker Grant.

Some skaters are born with a board under their feet—others find their way to it in more unexpected ways. For Parker Grant, it all started with a gaming controller and the iconic Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games. What began as digital kickflips turned into a real-life obsession the day he spotted a skateboard at his neighbor’s garage sale. That board sparked something that never left.
Parker describes skateboarding as “art with no rules”—a form of expression that doesn’t need structure to be powerful. His skating style reflects that philosophy: creative, free-flowing, and unapologetically his own. Whether he’s cruising the streets or landing his go to treflip, he brings the same mindset: skating isn’t about perfection, it’s about perspective.
Some of his go-to brands include Vans, Powell, and Santa Cruz, staples that mirror his mix of classic style and raw energy. But even more than gear or tricks, it’s Parker’s outlook that makes him stand out in the skate community.
To new skaters, Parker has this to say: “Don’t compare yourself to other skaters. Everyone learns at their own pace and fights their own battles. Just because someone looks like they’re having a perfect session doesn’t mean they feel that way. They might be thinking about everything they still want to improve. Focus on your own path, your own progress.”
Among his biggest accomplishments? Sitting down for an interview with legendary skater Jeff King—a dream moment that reminded him how far he’s come. But he’s quick to point out that the journey is never quick or easy. “Accept that it’s going to take time to get good. Everyone progresses differently. Don’t let anyone bully you or make you feel less for skating. If they do, that says more about them than it does about you.”
Whether he's dropping advice, inspiring newcomers, or making content for his YouTube channel, Parker Grant reminds us all what skateboarding is really about—freedom, growth, and staying true to yourself.
