Clarkston Firefighters Battle Multiple Wildfires, Honor the Fallen

Clarkston Professional Firefighters Local 2299 reflected on a difficult week marked by intense wildfire activity and solemn remembrance.

On Tuesday, crews responded through an auto-aid agreement to a fast-moving fire in Asotin County, where multiple structures were involved. Wednesday brought another deployment, this time to a red flag wildfire off Evans Road, where firefighters faced wind-driven flames and hazardous conditions.

To close out the week, two members of Local 2299 traveled to Coeur d’Alene to attend memorial services for fallen Battalion Chiefs John Morrison and Frank Harwood — joining firefighters from across the country in honoring their sacrifice.

Thank you to Local 2299 and all firefighters who continue to serve with bravery, compassion, and unwavering resolve.
