A monster truck soars off a jump during last weekend's show at the Fairgrounds.

CHRIS RINDAL WINS SD 19 RACE

Challenger Chris Rindal defeated Barry Usher in the hard-fought race for Senate District 19.

Unofficial results showed Rindal received 3,226 votes (54%) compared with 2,759 (46%) for Usher.

Democrat Deanna Daigrepont earned 1,009 votes, while running unopposed.

Rindal earned 61% percent of the votes in Fergus County and 69% of the votes in Golden Valley County. Usher won in Petroleum, Musselshell and Yellowstone Counties, but by narrower margins.

In the U.S. Senate, Fergus County voted for Kurt Alme (74%) in the Republican race and Alani Bankhead (41%) by a slim margin over Reily Neill (38%) in the Democrat race.

Among Liberatarians, Fergus chose Tom Jandron (20) over Kyle Austin (15).

On the House side, Fergus Democrats chose Brian Miller (54%) by wide margin over Sam Lux and Jonathon Windy Boy.
