A Lexington parent, who is a devout Christian, is suing the school district over lessons that “normalize LGBTQ+ relationships.” The plaintiff claims they burdened his right to direct the religious upbringing of his child.

Town Meeting voted to appropriate funds and swap land to build the new Lexington High School as it is currently designed during a special session Monday night. About 91 percent of voters and nearly all board and committee leaders supported the project. Next on the to-do list for the LHS building project is the debt exclusion vote, which is slated for Dec. 8.

The members voted to appropriate the remaining $648 million to fund the project and approved swapping land so the new school can be built on the sports fields.
