Most golfers give away strokes inside 5 feet. Here’s the putting drill that changed our routine — and it’s dead simple.

Set up 3-5 feet from a hole. Put 5 balls down. Make 5 consecutive putts before you move to any other spot. Every. Single. Practice.

This is now our go-to every time we hit the putting green. It builds real confidence when those 3-footers matter.

đź’Ş Working out like an athlete, not just a golfer.

There’s a difference. And it’s game-changing.

We’re bringing on a former D1 golfer this Sunday to break down what it takes to train like a real athlete—the strength work, the conditioning, the mindset shift that separates the good from the great.

If your junior golfer is serious about competing at the next level, they need to understand that golf fitness isn’t just about the range. It’s about building the body and mind to handle tournament pressure, long rounds, and the grind of competitive golf.

This Sunday on the GSD Golf Podcast. 🎙️

Hot Take Friday: If your round falls apart because of “outside noise”… it wasn’t the noise. It was your focus.
Control checklist:
- **Breath** (reset)
- **Routine** (same every shot)
- **Commitment** (pick a target, swing to it)
- **Body language** (act like you belong)
- **Next shot** (not the last one)

If you’re a junior golfer (or a parent watching), try this: **every time you feel annoyed, ask “Is this controllable?”** If not… let it go and get back to your process.

**What’s the #1 “outside noise” that messes with your game—playing partners, weather, parents, or spectators? Drop it below and I’ll give you a quick reset you can use on the course.

🧠 Your mindset is everything in golf. Period.

We’re sitting down with to talk about the mental game—how to stay locked in when pressure hits, how to bounce back from bad shots, and why your mindset matters more than your swing.

If you’ve ever let one bad hole spiral into a bad round, or felt the pressure get to you on the course, this episode is for you. Trent’s breaking down the mental strategies that got him to D1 and now to the pro level.

Coming soon. 🎙️

If you’ve ever felt your stomach drop when you see the tee time, you’re not alone. Tournament weekends can turn even the calmest junior golf parent into a bundle of nerves. And here’s the weird part: your kid might look totally fine while you’re silently spiraling about weather, pairings, pace of play, and whether you packed the right socks.

If you’ve ever felt your stomach drop when you see the tee time, you’re not alone. Tournament weekends can turn even the calmest junior golf parent into a bundle of nerves. And here’s the weird part:

- The Perfect Protein Bar for Work, Golf, and On-the-Go

Ever have one of those days where you’re bouncing from work → practice → errands → (maybe) a quick 9… and you realize you haven’t eaten anything real? Yeah. Same.

That’s why I’ve been keeping **Caddy Snacks** in the bag. It’s the kind of protein bar that actually fits real life: easy to grab, not messy, and clutch when you need steady energy—whether you’re grinding through emails, walking 18, or sitting on the range while your junior puts in reps.

**Why it works for me:**
- **Work:** quick protein without the crash
- **Golf:** easy fuel between holes (and doesn’t melt into your pocket)
- **On-the-go:** toss one in the car, backpack, or golf bag and forget about it until you need it

If you’re a parent living at the course, an “average golfer” trying to play better, or just someone who needs a solid snack that travels well… this one’s worth a look.

**Question for you:** are you a *snack-at-the-turn* person, or do you wait until after the round?
