Last week, I shared more on a situation out of Powell County, where the county judge-executive and an EMS worker could get their EMS licenses taken away for administering anti-venom to a snake bite victim.

Today, the judge-executive and EMS worker went before the KY Board of EMS to share why they did what they did.

I’ll have more on whether the board will dismiss this case or not at 5:00 and 6:00.

We’re learning new information about the murders of a mother and daughter in Rowan County.

I was back in Breathitt County today for what we all thought was going to be a preliminary hearing for Felicia Gross, the woman charged with the death of her son, 10-year-old Jayden Spicer.

Nearly an hour into the hearing being pushed back, the Commonwealth’s Attorney for the area dropped new information:

❗️There was no more preliminarily hearing. A grand jury indicted Felicia earlier that morning.

❗️Felicia was now being charged with murder instead of manslaughter.

❗️THEN the update none of us saw coming - a second person was being charged in this case.

It’s an update no one covering this situation wanted to make.

KSP confirmed with me earlier that the body of 10-year-old Jayden Spicer was found.

I was just speaking with his aunts this morning and they were holding out hope that he’d return home safely.

We all need to send some prayers their way tonight.

I had a surprise visitor during my story today - my brother, Kole!

I was wrapping up an interview when I saw him riding his bike across the street and thought, “hey, I know that kid!” 😂

He got to watch me in action too, reporting on a story that impacts students just like him - Senate Bill 181!

Two days after police say Guy House shot five people in Lexington, killing two of them, his ex-girlfriend opened up to me about the week leading up to the tragedy.

I got a copy of the protective order filed against him by her, but it was never served.

His ex-girlfriend is still wondering what would’ve happened if her situation was taken more seriously.
