The Rooster is back on the air! Many thanks to the hard-working crew of Blue Grass Energy for the very long and hot day getting power restored for so many of us today.

Now that we're back up and running, make sure to stay with us throughout the night and catch The Mike Overnight Show beginning at midnight. He'll keep you company all night long with awesome music, some very interesting tips and info on some pretty useless facts (it's good trivia stuff actually) so, all you late night folks out there, make sure to tune in to The Rooster and join Mike for all the fun and music to help make your night fly by!

***Update***

Current estimate for restoration of power is 9pm - we hope to be back on the air around that time.

The Rooster is currently off the air due to a power outage in the area. The cause of which is unknown and restoration is also unknown at this time. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we find out more.

Ozzy Osbourne, the iconic heavy metal frontman, passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 76. His family released a statement confirming his passing, saying he was surrounded by loved ones at the time of his death.

Osbourne's death came just weeks after his final concert performance with Black Sabbath on July 5, 2025, in Birmingham, England. Despite his health challenges, he performed the show from a throne, demonstrating his enduring commitment to his music and fans. The concert raised a staggering $190 million for charity, including organizations dedicated to Parkinson's research.

Malcolm-Jamal Warner, best known for playing Theo Huxtable on The Cosby Show, has tragically died at age 54 in Costa Rica. He drowned after being caught in a strong rip current at Cocles Beach on Sunday.

Warner first charmed audiences in 1984 on The Cosby Show, earning an Emmy nomination in 1986. He enjoyed a long and versatile career—starring in shows like Malcolm & Eddie and The Resident, voicing characters on The Magic School Bus, and even winning a Grammy for R&B in 2015.

Colleagues fondly remember him as kind, humble, and deeply dedicated to his craft. He is survived by his wife and daughter.

Legendary country, rock and pop singer Connie Francis has died at the age of 87 - Francis' death was confirmed on social media by her friend and copyright manager Ron Roberts.

No cause of death has been announced, but we do know that last month she cancelled an appearance on Cousin Brucie’s Independence Day radio show after she was hospitalized and transferred to intensive care due to ‘extreme pain’.
