Distribution is tomorrow- if you have a child in school and could benefit from this, please register. There is a lot of food insecurity especially this holiday season- there are resources to help. It is a simple 6 question process to enroll- no income verification needed.

🦃 Thanksgiving Meals for Families in Need – 2025 Registration Now Open! 🦃

Feed the Need Foundation is excited to continue our annual tradition of providing full Thanksgiving meals to families in need within the Rockbridge County Public Schools and Lexington City Schools systems. Thanks to the support of our community and generous contributions from Walmart Lexington and the Community Foundation of RBAC, we can make this happen again this year!

Here's how it works for 2025:

🍁 Rockbridge County Public Schools and Lexington City Schools families: Online registration is now open! Families in need can register through their school’s platform to receive a meal box filled with all the essentials for a warm and memorable Thanksgiving.

🍁 Buena Vista City Schools families: We’re partnering with the Rotary Club of Buena Vista once again! Feed the Need Foundation will provide the turkeys, while the Rotary Club supplies all the sides, ensuring families in Buena Vista schools can also enjoy a complete holiday meal.

Community Support in Action:

🛒Walmart - Donations: Walmart is again generously collecting food item donations at the registers. Next time you shop, consider contributing an item to help us fill these Thanksgiving boxes.

With your continued support and assistance from our partners, we aim to serve even more families this year. Last year, we reached over 2000 local residents, and with your help, we hope to make an even greater impact this Thanksgiving!

How You Can Help:

- Volunteer on distribution day to help ensure every family receives
their meal.

96.7 3WZ and 100.3 The Big Dawg are proud to be partners in bringing the Sebra National Championships back for another year at Virginia Horse Center!!

77 years ago it all started as Rockbridge Broadcasting Corp went live!!

WREL was born.

It all began with a few quick segments during open house tours of the station studios located in Downtown Lexington on the third floor of the First National Bank building.

3,192 people came to tour the studio during the open house and then a few days later WREL went live as “Rockbridge county’s own radio station”.

Lot’s of evolutions and additions since then- but WREL, 100.3 The Big Dawg and 96.7 3WZ are proud to serve Rockbridge county, be members of the community and remain today as “Rockbridge county’s own radio station.
