Going to try and get in the habit of taking a drone with me to and from work, and have a “small” kit at the ready at all times to get out for more spontaneous flights.

Today I spent my lunch break flying around the Town Branch Trail Construction along Old Frankfort Pike here in Lexington, KY. S Forbes Road had been closed for three weeks, and just reopened today.

Pace Contracting wrapped up construction on Town Branch Commons Zone 7 back in the fall. This project completed a new trail segment connecting Main St to 4th along Newtown Pike. CKY Imaging had the pleasure of capturing the finished product with drone media services.

I’m looking forward to following their progress on the other zones of Town Branch Commons along Main, Vine, and Midland!

Citation Boulevard bridge over Citation Trail and Bracktown Branch.

Flying around the neighborhood near the new trail that’s being constructed, and remembering when this bridge was being built. One of the jobs I spent quite a bit of time on as a fresh EIT for KYTC Lexington Section Construction.

Short orbit of demo progress downtown at the Central Bank Center. Didn’t make it down there in time to get an angle of the exposed chandeliers, but still looks pretty wild to anyone familiar with this part of town.

Great weather today to get downtown to start putting together a flight plan for an upcoming assignment. Some of this corridor is going to be tight, should be fun.
