If you’ve seen a father’s love shine during birth, take a moment to honor him in the comments. 💛

Happy Father’s Day to the dads who quietly, bravely, and tenderly support the women they love through birth.

There’s something beautiful about a man who stands beside her—not to fix or lead, but to be present. His steady hands, soft prayers, and quiet strength are part of the story too.

What a gift it is for him to witness the power God placed within her… and to rise into fatherhood with awe and love.

To the dads who show up—you are deeply seen.

When life begins, it begins with breath. ✨

The breath of God whispers into the lungs of a newborn, a sacred exchange between heaven and earth.

And the mother — wild, radiant, undone — pulls her baby in close, breathing them deep into her soul, memorizing every sigh, every softness.

Oxytocin surges like a river through her veins, through her arms, through her tears. It pours into the room, weaving everyone present into the miracle.

Birth is not just the arrival of a child.
It’s the unveiling of love in its purest form.
It is raw, holy, and more beautiful than words can contain.

This is the story I chase through my lens.
This is why I do what I do.
To preserve the breath, the bond, the beginning.

The Power of the Uterus in Action ✨

What you’re witnessing in this image is pure strength, surrender, and the incredible design of the female body at work. This mother is deep in the waves of labor, her uterus—a powerhouse of muscle—rhythmically contracting to bring her baby down and out into the world.

The uterus is the only organ in the human body that creates life, grows with that life, and then works with unwavering determination to bring it earthside. With each contraction, the fundus (the top of the uterus) thickens and tightens, pressing baby downward while the lower uterus thins and opens, making way for birth. This coordinated effort is completely involuntary—our bodies simply know what to do.

Labor is not something to be feared but something to be understood and trusted. It’s a process that unfolds with perfect precision when given the space and support to do so.

To the mothers in the throes of labor, to those preparing for birth, and to those reflecting on their own journeys—your body is doing holy work. You are strong. You are capable. You were made for this.

🌟 The Beauty of Patience 🌟

This mama’s birth story is a powerful reminder of the incredible design of birth and the beauty of patience. Her baby arrived with a short cord, and instead of rushing, she waited. She waited until the cord turned white, limp, and stopped pulsing—a sign that her little one had received every last drop of what was needed.

Once it was time, Dad cut the cord, and she was finally able to bring her baby higher onto her chest. That moment? Pure magic.

This is what honoring the process looks like. This is the strength of a mama who trusts the timing, the connection, and the miracle of birth.

📸 Documenting moments like this is such a gift, and I’m so grateful to capture these memories that tell the story of love, patience, and connection.

Do you trust Him to lead you?
Do you trust Him to provide for you?
Do you trust Him to protect you?
Do you trust Him to fight your battles?
Do you trust Him to answer your prayers?

Yes.

Now trust birth, the way you trust God.

“I trust in God, my savior, you’re the one who will never fail!”

“I sought the lord, and he heard, and he answered! That’s why I trust Him! That’s why I trust Him!”

Birth is wild.
So much hard work and strength to birth an incredible little baby and their placenta.
Did y’all know that the placenta can and rightfully, should stay attached to baby till it is birthed?
First of all, baby needs THEIR blood from the cord and the placenta still. The cord should very rarely be clamped before it is completely drained.
Stop allowing providers to rush the delivery of your placenta. If you are someone who has had little to no intervention for your birth there is no reason why an OB or midwife should be actively managing your placenta birth.
Allowing the placenta to be born on its own time is all apart of a physiological birth.
❤️

Swipe through these pictures. What do you notice?

No one is touching the baby, no one is trying to get the mothers placenta out, no one is telling the mother when to push, and no one is fearful.

Do y’all really know and understand what an undisturbed, physiological birth is?

There are so many people that don’t which is ok. Myself and so many other birth workers here on IG are trying to educate and bring light to what normal birth can look like.

But here’s the thing, how are we supposed to experience this kind of birth when doctors and even midwives don’t trust birth or know what physiological birth looks like.

Just a few things that make an undisturbed, physiological birth:

✨Spontaneous labor
✨No cervical checks
✨Feeling safe and loved
✨Hands off during pushing
✨Mother led
✨Fetal Ejection Reflex
✨Letting baby transition on their time
✨Hands off placenta birth
✨Minimal lights, talking, distraction

And so much more! This might even look a little different for each family and what their needs are.

Women deserve to have the chance to experience what birth can be like when it is allowed to unfold organically and undisturbed.
