Apparently there’s a correct way to drink a Scottish delicacy… and chose violence. πŸ˜‚πŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ

β€œI’m offending every Scottish person by drinking it from a glass.”

And instead of fixing it?

He wanted to clip it so he could farm the outrage. πŸ˜‚

Mission accomplished.

135 proof… and somehow that wasn’t the scary part. πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ₯ƒ

This Holmes Cay Australia 2012 came in at a whopping 67.5% ABV / 135 proof, but with bright citrus, floral notes and a surprising amount of complexity, it drank a whole lot easier than that number suggested.

As we put it during the episode:

β€œIt’s not really gonna let you know until you stand up.” πŸ˜‚

This Florida Rum Society pick spent 6 years aging in Queensland, Australia, followed by another 3 years in ex-bourbon casks in the UK. It ended up being our favorite pour of the night.

Full National Rum Day episode is streaming now on YouTube, Rumble, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and everywhere else you listen.

As always remember to enjoy your spirits and ci**rs responsibility,
Cheers!
