Very “neat” day at The Trace 🦬🥃 The new “SBS Warehouse Experience” is really cool. You get to try three different straight from the barrel pours of Buffalo Trace from three different warehouse locations . These were in the 130 proof range. It’s all about demonstrating how warehouse location affects the taste profile. Got to try warehouse D and I and see the newly opened warehouse H which was severely damaged during the April flood.

Following the barrel proof sampling, you try the same Barrels proofed down to around 90 range. Then you get to choose which one you like and take home🤩

Wanna do this? Just get signed up for the SBS program online. From there, it’s basically a point merrit system where as you do more things in the program, you can work your way up to sign up for these really in-depth experiences!

Toasts were certainly in order for Heaven Hill's "Spring Distillery" grand opening in Bardstown, KY. $200m investment. Can distill over 1,200+ barrels daily at full capacity. HH is now the LARGEST independent distiller in the WORLD 🌎. Gorgeous aesthetic and entirely state of the art.

But this is symbolic of something much deeper and more meaningful. It's a long awaited homecoming for Heaven Hill back to where it all started for and by the Shapira Family in 1935 - BARDSTOWN.

The HH 1996 fire 🔥 was absolutely devastating. 100,000 barrels of whiskey gone. Seven rickhouses to ashes. But as Kentucky's own champion Muhammad Ali once said - it's not whether you get knocked down , it's whether you get back up.

Get back up they certainly did. Rising from the ashes, buying the Bernheim Distillery in 1999 (Louisville), and showing not only their grit and resilience, but the unbreakable bond of support from the Bourbon Industry.

Nearly 30 years later, this new facility represents a sacred promise to not just the HH family of employees, but to the entire community of Bardstown. It's a long-term commitment you just don't really see anymore in big business.

We'll certainly raise a glass to the Shapira Family. May the sunshine brightly on their old but new Kentucky home🥃🥃

And make sure to book your tour experience here the next time you're in Bourbon Country.

‼️BTAC is expanding‼️ has confirmed this FALL, you will see a new addition to the highly coveted 5 bottle BTAC Collection. Welcome to the party "EH TAYLOR BOTTLED-IN-BOND"👏🥃🥃 no official news yet on each statement. Article in comments.

Colonel Taylor purchased what is now Buffalo trace distillery in 1869, giving it the name O.F.C. (Old Fashioned Copper). He was a key figure in establishing the 1897 Bottled-In-Bond Act. In essence, the guy was just an incredible Bourbon Baller🥃🥃.

A brilliant Mint Julep recipe by Pulitzer Prize winner Louisville legend Henry Watterson. HAPPY DERBY DAY!🏇🥃🥃
1. Pluck the mint gently from its bed, just as the dew of the evening is about to form upon it
2. Prepare the simple syrup and measure out a half-tumbler of whiskey."
3. Pour the whiskey into a well-frosted silver cup, throw the other ingredients away and drink the whiskey."

We had a ball picking this beautiful BOURBON CLASSIC PRIVATE SELECT banger which debuts this week at Distillery! We named it "Breakfast Blend" as we got strong notes of honey 🍯, butter, and biscuits, plus it was 9:30am lol. There was such deep richness to this pic with those coveted yummy butterscotch *ombs! Bottled at a healthy 110 proof 🤩 this will also be available for purchase at Saturday's (Feb 22) Bourbon Classic main event TASTE at the AE Tasting Table. Tickets are available at www.bourbonclassic.com.

AGE: whiskey is aged 5.5 - 6yrs on average as our pick was then finished in the AE staple Port Wine casks for 8 months. The original barrel proof was 115 then made to 110.

Looking forward to an amazing Bourbon Classic week! 🥃🥃

Cheers and stay safe out there!
