I had the honor of being featured on the ! In a time when “inclusion” and “representation” are the buzz words for the industry, I guess it is my turn to throw in my two cents.

Please take the time to read my interview and all of the other equestrians of color featured on the blog. There are so many different versions of our struggles to make our marks in the ever exclusive world of horses. So many people of different backgrounds share a deep passion and appreciation for the horse. It’s projects like these that help to shine a light on a population of horsemen and horsewomen that would otherwise be left out of the conversation.

A tale of two molds.

Can’t say I wasn’t a little freaked out when I saw this patch of mold in this new bag of chaff. I have only been accustomed to the dry form.
Turns out, fresh chaff is fermented and loaded with probiotics...mold! I called the manufacturer just to be sure. All systems go!
Trooper is going back to work after a long hiatus. Feeding chaff before schooling is a good way to sop up any gastric juices that may be present! @ Mercer County, Kentucky

Couldn’t ask for a better follicle check...and on Derby week, to boot!

This mare is a dream come true. She hasn’t been the easiest; but I always know where I stand with her. Willa has taken me places I only dreamed of going. My journey with her has lead me down a path to formidable friendships, solid connections, and valuable learning experiences.

And now this little side project! We have our stallion on deck. Crossing fingers for a successful catch!!! 🐟🎣
