UK HealthCare Executive Vice President Dr. Mark Newman recently spoke with Business Lexington about our team's efforts to combat the pandemic, the 60th Anniversary of the opening of Albert B. Chandler Hospital, and ambitious plans to help prepare Kentucky's future medical workforce.
When thinking of the top university-level media communication programs throughout the state, the three schools that may come to mind first are Kentucky, Louisville and Western Kentucky. But it’s actually a much smaller school that not only leads the state but also most of the country, in preparing students for careers in media production.

Located in Wilmore, Asbury University is a private Christian university that just so happens to produce some of the most talented folks in the television and film industries, including alumni who’ve worked on the sets of "The Hobbit,” "Forrest Gump," "Batman," "Elf," "Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace,” NASCAR on ESPN, and NFL Films, among others.
