In this incredibly raw and transparent interview, host Mista Tony sits down with Louisville hoop legend Chance Moore.

Back in 2017, Chance Moore absolute dominated the court, earning 6th Region Player of the Year and LIT MVP honors while leading the Fern Creek High School Tigers to a massive 35-3 record and their first-ever state tournament appearance in school history. But the road from high school stardom to the college ranks (Wichita State & Jackson State) wasn't a straight line.

Chance pulls back the curtain on the decisions, distractions, and missteps that didn't benefit his basketball career. More importantly, he shares how he refused to let those moments define him. Tune in to hear how Chance completely flipped the script, shifted his mindset, and successfully pivoted from the hardwood into becoming a thriving, sharp-minded businessman. This isn't just a hoops story, it’s a masterclass in resilience, accountability, and the power of the ultimate professional pivot.

Filmed on location with the incredible youth at the New Legacy Reentry Corporation non-profit organization in Louisville!

The teenagers from the S.C.R.E.D. class at New Legacy didn’t just watch, they ran the camera, handled the professional audio engineering, and captured all of the behind-the-scenes footage for this production. We are dedicated to mentoring and putting real media production tools into the hands of our community's youth. Huge shoutout to the crew for their incredible professionalism and hard work on this shoot! 🎥🔥

If you watched Kentucky football during the Rich Brooks era, or the transition into the Joker Phillips years, you didn’t just watch Randall Cobb. You marveled at him. You wondered how one guy could seemingly be in three places at once, doing three different jobs, and doing all of them better than anyone else on the field.

So it should come as no surprise on Monday when the National Football Foundation announced that Cobb is on the 2027 ballot for the College Football Hall of Fame. Frankly, it’s about time.

Cobb is one of 80 FBS players on the ballot, but few carried the absolute, down-by-down burden for their teams the way the Alcoa, Tennessee native did in Lexington from 2008 to 2010.

Think about what Cobb was to Kentucky. He wasn’t just a wide receiver. He wasn’t just a Wildcat-formation quarterback. He wasn’t just a lethal punt and kickoff returner. He was the entire engine.

We throw the word "versatile" around a lot in modern college football, but Cobb defined it. Look at the numbers from his historic 2010 junior season, where he was a finalist for the Paul Hornung Award:

2,396 all-purpose yards: A single-season SEC record at the time.

The Triple Threat: He was the only player in the FBS to rank first or second on his team in rushing, passing, and receiving.

By the time he left for the NFL, he had amassed a school-record 37 touchdowns. And he started doing it the moment he stepped on campus, earning SEC All-Freshman honors in 2008 by accounting for 11 touchdowns three different ways (two passing, two receiving, seven rushing).

But more than the stats, Cobb was a clutch football player. If the Wildcats needed a play in the fourth quarter to win a game, everyone in the stadium knew #18 was getting the ball. And teams still couldn't stop him. He scored five game-winning, fourth-quarter touchdowns in his career. He did it on the road at Georgia and Auburn. He did it at Commonwealth Stadium against Arkansas, South Carolina, and Louisville.

Cobb went on to the NFL, drafted by Green Bay in 2011, where he carved out a stellar 13-year career. He caught 54 touchdowns, racked up over 7,600 yards, and made a Pro Bowl.

But if you want to know who Randall Cobb really is, look at what he did after he left Lexington.

It would have been easy for a wealthy NFL wide receiver to forget about exams and term papers. Cobb didn't. He kept working on his degree in community and leadership development, walking across the stage to graduate in 2016. He had promised himself as a kid that he would be the first person in his immediate family to earn a college degree. He kept his word.

Cobb's Hall of Fame Resume:
UK Athletics Hall of Fame (2017)
Kentucky Pro Football Hall of Fame (2022)
Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame (2025)
College Football Hall of Fame (2027 Ballot)

The final class will be announced in early 2027. There are a lot of great names on that ballot, but few meant more to their program, or did more heavy lifting on Saturdays, than Randall Cobb. He belongs in Atlanta. Photo courtesy UK Athletics.
