The Community Preservation Committee is now accepting applications for Community Preservation Act funding for FY2027!📃

The Community Preservation Act (CPA) enables communities to utilize funds for the acquisition, creation, and preservation of open spaces, historic sites, recreational resources, and community housing, as well as some rehabilitation projects.

Skateboards, roller blades, scooters, bicycles, pets, golfing, spikes, needle footwear, metal tip javelins, and/or other wheeled equipment is not permitted on the Center Recreation Complex's track & synthetic turf surfaces.

Bike racks are available. Mobile Assistive Devices and strollers are permitted.

🌅 Join us Thursday, September 4, 6-7 pm, for a magical evening of music in a beautiful setting with folk rock singer-songwriter Naomi Westwater, accompanied by bassist Samantha Hale.

🎼 Naomi is producing a series called Reclaiming Folk: A Celebration of People of Color in Folk Music and has received 20 grants to tour the series. Their latest concept record, Cycle & Change, is out everywhere.

🌻 Please bring a folding/camping chair to this event. Admission is free!

Call for Artists Utility Box Painting Project 2024 (Theme: As We Turn 250)
This is a call for artists to paint utility boxes in Lexington this Spring/Summer. Open to all interested artists, in or out of Lexington. Lexington played a major role in the events that shaped our nation’s history. There are many ways to tell this story. Consider the issues and people who lived during this revolutionary period. What are the untold stories of these people? How will liberty and freedom be viewed in our future? We invite experienced artists who are at least 18 years to submit an original design for the theme As We Turn 250 by April 5, 2024, to be considered for this year’s jury. Artists will be compensated $500 per box.
