RADIOLEX is now MEDIALEX
For ten years, RADIOLEX has been the Voice of the People on WLXU and WLXL. It lives wherever we share our stories. To truly amplify the voices of our multilingual, multicultural community, we have to grow beyond the FM dial. As we begin our next decade of service, RADIOLEX is becoming MEDIALEX
MEDIALEX is a platform for community-created news, information, and entertainm
ent. A place where creativity, culture, and connection come together. Building on a foundation of community radio, MEDIALEX will expand into podcasts, video, television, film, local news, and digital storytelling. MEDIALEX will offer tools, training, and technology so people can share stories in their own voices and in their own languages. In the months ahead, we’ll offer exciting new ways for people to inform, connect, and empower our community. Studio spaces for audio and video production, where anyone can access equipment and technology to record a podcast, film a short, or bring an idea to life. A community newsroom where neighbors learn journalism basics and community correspondents report local stories that matter. A media academy offering hands-on training in production, storytelling, media literacy, and digital technology. Media services for nonprofits including audio & video production, website design and maintenance, and social media management. At MEDIALEX, we’re creating a space where everyone can connect, create, and share:
Students. Small business owners. Friends and neighbors who want to be part of something bigger. We provide the tools and training; you bring the ideas and the passion. You don’t need to be an expert—just curious, willing to learn, and ready to share. When we tell our community’s stories, we connect in new ways. We learn more about each other. We understand our shared experiences. We find common ground. And that’s powerful. MEDIALEX is more than a name change. It’s a movement. A movement where every voice matters and every story counts. Join us. Listen. Share. Volunteer. Donate. Tell your story.
