⚠️ Active Pattern Returns ⚠️

Our weather turns more unsettled through midweek across Kentucky:
• Today (Sunday): Strong storms are possible this afternoon and evening with the potential for damaging wind gusts, small hail, frequent lightning, and heavy rainfall.
• Monday: Additional storm chances continue with the same hazards possible — damaging winds, small hail, lightning, and heavy rain.
• Tuesday: Another round of storms looks likely. This threat may extend eastward into central and eastern Kentucky as details become clearer.

⚡ Stay weather-aware as multiple waves of showers and storms track through. Some storms may turn strong to severe at times. I’ll have additional updates as this active stretch unfolds.

Our weather pattern turns unsettled this weekend as rain and storms return to the region. Strong storms will be possible Sunday.

📍 Timing: Sunday afternoon & evening
⚡ Threats:
• Gusty to damaging winds
• Heavy rainfall
• Frequent lightning

A few storms could become strong, so keep an eye on the radar and have a way to get alerts.

🌧️ What a beautiful sight to see! 🌧️

Our pattern finally amps up next week with daily rain and storm chances returning to the forecast. At times, heavy rain will be possible, and we can’t rule out a few stronger storms mixed in.

This forecast is fluid, and rainfall amounts are still something we’ll be fine-tuning over the coming days. I’ll have additional updates all weekend long as we track the changes.

Daily rain and storm chances look possible with soaking rains at times. Strong storms cannot be ruled out.

🌧️ A cut-off upper-level low looks to spin into the region by mid to late next week, bringing with it better rain chances.

🚨 Drought Update – September 18, 2025 🚨

To no surprise, drought conditions have worsened across much of Kentucky. A good chunk of the state is now in a moderate (D1) to severe (D2) drought, with extreme drought (D3) now gripping far western Kentucky.

The good news? Our pattern amps up next week and could finally provide some relief. While it’s not the kind of “drought-busting” rain we truly need, any rainfall is a step in the right direction. 🌧️

We’ll continue to monitor how much rain we can actually squeeze out of the setup. Stay tuned for updates!
