School Closure Notice – Wednesday, the 17th

Libby Schools will be closed on Wednesday, the 17th due to anticipated severe weather conditions. Forecasts are calling for increased rainfall and strong winds throughout the evening and possibly during the day. The combination of heavy precipitation and saturated ground has raised concerns about unstable trees and overall safety for students and staff.

We appreciate your understanding as we prioritize the safety of our school community. Further updates will be provided as needed.

Due to flooding and other problems related to the heavy rains, we will not have school on December 12.

Important Information for parents:

Libby Public Schools is recommending that parents pick up their students as soon as possible due to increasing concerns related to flooding. These concerns include transportation challenges, boil water orders, and other safety issues affecting the community.
Buses will still run at the end of the school day at their regular times. However, please note that bus routes 5, 15, and 18 will not operate today. It is possible that other bus routes might be canceled.

We will provide a lunch to students that are at school!

We will continue to share updates as new information becomes available from County Emergency Management.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to ensure the safety of all students.

Yearbook Senior Goodbye Message $40 Due Jan 20:

Dear Seniors and Parents of Seniors:

Staff members on the 2026 yearbook would like to offer parents the opportunity to send a special message to your graduating senior. To send a Senior Goodbye, simply pick out your favorite picture of your child at any age (color if possible) and write a goodbye message to your child. The word limit is 60 words.

If you have questions or would like to purchase a goodbye, send both the picture and the message, or the question to [email protected] by Jan 20th.

The cost of placing a senior goodbye is $40 (Ads will not be included until money is received). Checks can be sent to Libby High School, ℅ Michelle Foss, 150 Education Way, Libby, MT 59923.

LHS Graduation for the Class of 2026 has been moved to Sunday, May 31, 2026 at 1:00 PM. The date was changed due to state competitions for spring sports being that weekend. The date change will allow senior athletes to attend graduation. (If you order announcements from Jostens, they are aware and will put the correct date on announcements when they print them.) You are Invited to BINGO Night at the VFW on Nov 28th
Proceeds go to the Logger Senior Class of 2026
Doors open at 4 pm and BINGO starts at 6 pm
