UPDATE FROM LHISD | 11/4/25 3:11 P.M.:

It has come to our attention that we need to provide some clarity on the location of the vehicular incident involving a student at our campus this morning. Although this does not lessen the seriousness of the incident, we strive to be as transparent and factual as possible.

This morning, the student was crossing a driveway on campus when the collision occurred. The parents have informed us that the student is home from the hospital, resting, and plans to return to school later this week.

It is important that drivers, walkers and bike riders all remember we are sharing the same areas of the campus. We want everyone to be diligent to ensure safety remains the top priority. Thank you for your understanding and support.
