🎣 WALLEYE FISH TOURNAMENT & FLOOD RELIEF BENEFIT 🎣

On Saturday, September 26th, head out to Brookville Lake at the Fairfield Ramp for a special walleye fishing tournament supporting Geoff & Mendy, whose home, belongings, and businesses were devastated by the recent flooding in Fayette County.

Geoff lost his woodworking shop, which was his livelihood, and Mendy lost the daycare she operated out of their home. This family lost so much in a matter of hours, and this tournament is a chance for our community to come together and help them rebuild.

Tournament Details

$50 per person
Up to 3 anglers per boat
Registration begins at 5:30 AM
Boats launch at 7:00 AM
Boats return by 3:30 PM
Weigh in begins at 4:00 PM
Heaviest 5 fish basket wins
Dead fish penalty of ½ pound per dead fish
Big Fish Pot is an additional $10 per boat
50% payout to the top 3 placements

Can’t fish? You can still help!

Donations are being accepted, and raffle tickets are available as well.

Raffle tickets are:

1 ticket $5
3 tickets $10
10 tickets $25
25 tickets $50

There will be three 3 person Lake Erie charters raffled off, donated by Reel Gills by Chris Gupton and Nibble This by Randy Gaines, along with a 50/50 drawing and additional raffle items.

Thinking about going LIVE later tonight on the Indiana Unearthed YouTube channel!

It’s been a while since we’ve done a live, and I think it would be good to get back on and catch up with everyone.

I won’t be dirt fishing this time. I’ll be out fishing for Backwater Rogue, my other outdoor platform, and I’m thinking about bringing everyone along for the trip.

I’ll post an update with the time once I have everything figured out.

Hope to see everyone there. It’s been a while, and it’ll be good to catch up with you all!

🎣 BACKWATER ROGUE PARTNERS UP WITH SANDEFUR BAIT SHACK!

I’m excited to announce that Backwater Rogue is partnering up with Cody Sandefur of Sandefur Bait Shack!

Cody is a 22-year-old Hoosier native, entrepreneur, and an all-around passionate fisherman. I recently had the opportunity to help Cody create his new company logo, and after seeing the time, effort, and passion he puts into his products, I knew I wanted to help promote what he’s building.

Cody hand-makes his own custom jigs and lures for walleye, bass, crappie, and more. He’s completely self-taught and puts a lot of attention into making each one unique. He uses real bucktail fur, real feathers, and other natural materials he comes across to create his custom jigs and rooster tails.

This young entrepreneur has big goals and wants to take Sandefur Bait Shop a long way. I’m proud to be able to support him along the way and help get his products in front of more fishermen.

We’ve spent the last few days putting Backwater Rogue to work in a different way. Instead of being on the water, we’ve been serving our community and helping families affected by the recent flooding.

There’s no better feeling than being able to step up, lend a hand, tear out damaged walls, clean up debris, and help someone begin putting their life back together.

This is what community is about. We’re thankful we’ve been able to help, and we’ll continue doing whatever we can.
