The steadfast volunteers who organize the Jesse James Festival are inviting Northlanders from all over to visit Kearney during the next two weekends. On Saturday, Sept. 12, the kickoff begins with the demolition derby and Kids Power Wheels event at Jesse James Park, 3001 N. Highway 33. The full weekend begins Friday, Sept. 18 and runs through Sunday, Sept. 20. For the second year, there is no carnival at the festival.

KEARNEY — It’s almost time for the fall festival circuit to begin and the steadfast volunteers who organize the Jesse James Festival are inviting Northlanders from all over to visit Kearney during the next two weekends.
