Here’s what we’re watching for Tuesday, December 2:
Our first widespread snowfall of the season is moving into the Hudson Valley and Sullivan County — and it’s arriving during the morning commute.
National Weather Service meteorologist Bryan Greenblatt says this will be a quick-moving but impactful storm:
“We’re looking at a general six to eight inches of snow, with locally higher amounts in the Catskills. The steadiest and heaviest snowfall sets up between 7 AM and the late morning hours. Roads will be snow-covered and slippery, especially during the commute.”
That means slower travel, possible delays, and extra time needed to get anywhere tomorrow morning.
Greenblatt adds:
“If you have to be on the roads, leave early, keep extra space between cars, and take it slow. Conditions improve later in the afternoon as snow tapers off from west to east.”
We’ll continue updating school closings, delays, and weather advisories as they come in.
