The West Noble HS and 8th grade choir had a great performance tonight as they sang the Star Spangled banner In front of 8,689 people!

They are now relaxing and enjoying the Komets game.

What a day!

A major congratulations to the marching chargers for sweeping scholastic B captions and taking home 1st place! They received awards for Best Music, Best Visual, and Best Effect in Scholastic B. This is the first time/season ANY of these students have ever marched or competed in marching band!

As a staff we stress that as long as we are getting better as a group, nothing else matters. Awards are just a byproduct of hard work and a nice thing that shouldn't be focused on as long as students are becoming better musicians and performers. It was an awesome way to end the day though!!!

There is a lot to say as there hasn't been a post in awhile.

The West Noble Marching Chargers have officially completed their first week of band camp! Lots of new concepts ranging from music, drill, marching, and choreography. These students have done a stellar job so far with everything we have thrown at them.

Some major thanks are in order,

Thank you to all of the administrators, school board, and custodial staff at West Noble who have done a great deal of work to make the Marching band logistically viable!

Thank you to Big C Lumber in Cromwell for donating lumber so that we can build carts for all of our equipment!

Thank you to the Ligonier Fire Department for coming out and spraying the band down at the end of the week with their new truck!

It is so cool to see how the community has supported the Marching Chargers as we look forward to their first season in around 20 years. I will follow up with a post in the coming days with a schedule of performances for community members that are interested.

I forgot to take photos, but the HS choir had a successful weekend at ISSMA Solo and Ensemble!

The choir ended the day with 2 Golds and 2 Silvers.

Members from the West Noble HS Band and Orchestra performed at ISSMA Solo and Ensemble.

I wasn't able to catch everyone for photos but I certainly tried! They represented West Noble Very well!
