The 2026 Kauai Marathon and Half Marathon is officially sold out, mahalo nui loa to everyone who registered. The field is limited on purpose so we can deliver the kind of course support, island hospitality, and finish-line experience that makes this race special. That cap is a big part of why so many people want to be here.

We have seen several posts offering race bibs for sale on social media and elsewhere. Please do not buy or sell bibs.

Some sellers do not actually have a bib. Scammers are active, and people have lost money.
Race numbers are not transferable. Bibs are assigned to a specific registered runner. Packet pickup requires photo ID that matches the registration.
Transferring a bib to someone of a different gender or age group throws off the timing and results system. Chip times, age-group awards, and official records depend on the runner matching the bib.
If you cannot run, please do not list the bib online. There is no official transfer or secondary market for this event. Registration for 2027 opens Sunday, September 6. If you’d still like to be part of race weekend, volunteer spots help make the day work — email [email protected]. Limiting the field is how we keep the experience amazing for the people who did get in. Thank you for respecting the registered runners, the volunteers, and the integrity of the race. With the safety of our racers, spectators, staff, and community as our top priority, Labor Day Drag Racing has been cancelled.
There is still uncertainty surrounding the path of the hurricane, and current forecasts indicate it turns toward Kauai, with the brunt of the storm potentially impacting the island Sunday through Tuesday.
We know this is disappointing, and it’s not a decision we make lightly. But right now, the most important thing is keeping everyone safe.
We encourage everyone to use the next few days and the holiday weekend to prepare your home, secure your property, and make sure you have the emergency supplies you need.
Please stay informed, stay prepared, and most importantly, stay safe.
