Hōʻike Kauaʻi Community Media Kauai's Public, Education, & Government Access organization offering video production training Residents may also submit self-produced programming for airing.

Hō‘ike provides a number of opportunities for residents of Kaua‘i to be seen and heard on Hō‘ike's public access channel 54. Residents can share a message every Tuesday with open mic and community cameras. Hō‘ike provides classes in production from start to finish, and Hō‘ike certified producers have the added benefit of being able to use Hō‘ike's cameras and editing equipment to produce shows to air on the channel.

ABLE Prom is preparing for a heartwarming evening designed for individuals ages 14 and up with intellectual and developmental disabilities, along with their friends and families. With a red-carpet experience, music, dancing, and time to connect, ABLE Prom creates a space where everyone is welcomed and celebrated.

At the heart of the services Hōʻike offers, we are educators first and foremost. Whether we're filming, editing, or producing stories for the island, our deeper mission is always about sharing knowledge, empowering the next generation, and opening our doors to the community.

Today was a wonderful reminder of that. Between working on our own projects, we had the privilege of welcoming an amazing group of students from Island School into the studio! 🌺🎥

Mahalo to Mr. Rose and Island School for bringing the keiki to spend the morning with us. They explored the studio, learned how our equipment works, got hands-on with cameras, shot their very own 60-second films, and even edited them too! Seeing their creativity spark and their confidence grow is exactly why we do what we do.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this and look forward to supporting more media education for our island’s youth.
Mahalo again to Island School for making today such a special one! 🙌✨
